Transitions
It is said that "the only constant is change." In the course of a lifetime we undergo many changes, some small and barely noticeable and some that are
life altering. Honoring transitions gives more meaning and direction to our lives.
Some passages call for celebration, others for support. When a transition is happening, is about to take place or has just happened, there is an opportunity. If the transition is positive, acknowledging it with celebration
makes it even more special. Difficult transitions, too, must be acknowledged.
Giving attention to a challenge can ease what may be a difficult journey.
Finding and using internal and external resources can give you the strength
you need at those times.
Life transitions fall into five basic categories:
- Beginnings-Something new is coming into being; a birth or any new start
- Mergings-A partnership is being formed; a wedding or the coming
together of individuals, families or groups
- Cycles-Cycles are anniversaries, anything that comes around again,
including holidays
- Endings-An ending may denote a loss or a completion
- Healings-Healing is about regaining wholeness and balance, and may
focus on regaining physical, emotional, mental or spiritual well-being
Your transition may be best served with a ceremony. An initial
consultation will help us determine the best approach to meet your
needs.
